On Friday, Messi was being accompanied by Fort Lauderdale police, when his automobile drove right into an intersection. The car was exceedingly lucky not to be in a terrifying collision because other drivers were thankfully vigilant at the time.

Following the vehicle’s intended left turn, the police stayed behind it while other vehicles went on their way. Although Messi, 36, was reportedly in the car, it is unknown if he was operating the wheel. The event was captured on camera by Argentine TV station TyC Sports.

Messi’s career in Miami almost got off to a catastrophic start since he was still technically unsigned. Messi is a seven-time Ballon d’Or winner. On Sunday, Messi will be unveiled in Miami, and the star is expected to make his League Cup debut on July 21 against Cruz Azul.

Since being in the United States, Messi has become more familiar to the Miami area, so it’s likely that in the future, he and his group will pay closer attention to the traffic signals. He was spotted on Thursday with his kids at a Publix in South Beach with a variety of items in the cart.

As Messi started laughing with his kids in the store, his son was already sporting a Hard Rock Cafe t-shirt. Lucky Charms cereal was also seen. The intriguingly titled “Made For You by Leo Messi” dish was created by Messi and served at the renowned restaurant.

Messi was in great spirits throughout the store visit, and other than the odd photo he wasn’t bothered by any fans. It must have been a strange experience for Messi, as he walked the aisle of the shop and even strolled to the car park without any fuss being made.

The Argentine is familiar with Miami, visiting on holiday with his family for some time. But now it’s his home after leaving Paris Saint Germain at the end of last season, when his contract expired.
