Fulham made a bid for Callum Hudson-Odoi, which Chelsea turned down.

After a disappointing loan stint at Xabi Alonso’s Bayer Leverkusen, the winger has returned to Stamford Bridge.

Hudson-Odoi only made 14 appearances in the Bundesliga and only contributed one assist, failing to make a comeback in his loan stint.

Hudson-Odoi’s future has been in doubt since Chelsea hired new head coach Mauricio Pochettino this summer.

But Chelsea has now turned down a proposal from Fulham, who had been quite interested in the winger.

In order to play regular first-team football, Hudson-Odoi wants to leave his childhood club this summer, as previously reported by Mail Sport.

Since Noni Madueke and a number of other talents arrived in January and in the summer of 2017, Pochettino cannot assure the winger that his name would appear among the first ones on the team sheet.

Last season, Hudson-Odoi left on loan in quest of regular playing time, but he was unable to crack Alonso’s starting lineup, which put him in a precarious position this summer.

The 22-year-old has so far only been the subject of interest from Fulham; when he first broke through at Chelsea, Bayern Munich had expressed an interest.

Chelsea are not thrilled with the offer they received right now, although it is unclear whether the Cottagers would make a new offer for the winger.
