As Liverpool’s Premier League opponents make moves to sign players for the upcoming season, the transfer market is heating up.

Real Madrid is rumoured to be on high alert as Kylian Mbappe’s future at Paris Saint-Germain is once more uncertain. According to reports, the star forward wants to leave the French champions this summer.

In the early weeks of the summer transfer season, many of Europe’s top clubs showed interest in Harry Kane, who is also entering the final year of his current Tottenham contract.

And below, we’ve looked at the most recent information regarding Liverpool’s biggest rivals in advance of the upcoming season.

Khvicha Kvaratskhelia

According to a Saudi Arabian newspaper, Newcastle United has made a bid for Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, a star for Napoli.

According to Football-Italia and the Saudi outlet WinWinAllSports, Newcastle has made a bid of about €95 million (£82 million) for Kvaratskhelia to Napoli. The story continues to state that the North East club is currently awaiting a reply.

Kvaratskhelia shined in Italy last season, scoring 12 goals and dishing out 10 assists in 34 league games. He also showed he was just as dangerous in the Champions League, scoring two goals and dishing out four assists.

Jurgen Klopp expressed his opinions on Kvaratskhelia back in 2022 and made it obvious how highly he thinks of the player. He is incredibly good and quick, the child, and you have to defend him collectively in these circumstances, the Reds manager stated. He is already gone once he obtains the advantage of the initial movement.

“You need to try to be there as soon as the ball arrives, but if you can’t, you need to be protected because he has speed, is cheeky, goes inside, and can go outside, which always makes it really difficult.”

Harry Kane

If Paris Saint-Germain can be certain that Harry Kane will be willing to leave Tottenham Hotspur for the French champions, they will try to sign him this summer.

According to the Sunday Times, Kane has already had two bids from Bayern Munich, both of which have been turned down by Tottenham. The Bundesliga champions, however, have reportedly struck a general understanding with Kane over his personal circumstances and seem sure that he, his young family, and are ready to relocate to Germany.

According to the source, Kylian Mbappe’s future at PSG is unrelated to the French team’s interest in signing Harry Kane. Manchester United is also reportedly interested in signing Kane, but their efforts are impeded by Uefa and Premier League Financial Fair Play regulations.
