Leon Goretzka, a midfielder for Bayern Munich, is apparently attracting interest from Liverpool. Goretzka may leave the German powerhouse this summer.
As the Reds expand their search for a third midfield addition, the 28-year-old German international is now on their radar, according to journalist Steve Kay, who wrote: “He’s (Amrabat) a quality player and I think Liverpool are looking at him as well, and I think Liverpool are also looking at Goretzka, I heard tonight.”
With Fabinho and Jordan Henderson potentially leaving the club this summer, Goretzka, who TalkSport adores for his physical metamorphosis, would be a great addition for Liverpool. This is especially true given that Bayern Munich is now willing to trade the midfielder.
Goretzka would bring something entirely different to Liverpool’s midfield ranks from what they already have as a regular for the Bundesliga champions and the German national side. Furthermore, the athlete might be eager to work with Jurgen Klopp.
Since Goretzka hasn’t yet appeared in the Premier League and his time at Bayern appears to be coming to an end, he may be quite receptive to moving to England. And the 28-year-old, who will have the money to match the midfielder’s asking price, might see Klopp’s Liverpool as his ideal destination.
Goretzka has been a stalwart for Germany and Bayern for what seems like ages. If he were to join the Liverpool team, he would be a dream acquisition and the perfect replacement for players like Fabinho and Henderson should they decide to leave Anfield.
Goretzka, as we all know, has the skills and physicality to play almost wherever in the middle of the pitch, a quality that Klopp will find extremely beneficial if the Liverpool manager wants to sign his fellow countryman at some point this summer.
