Moussa Diaby is expected to join Aston Villa from Bayer Leverkusen.

The 24-year-old winger will sign a five-year contract with the Premier League team after declining the invitation to join Saudi Arabia’s Al-Nassr, according to a report from Goal.

It appears that Aston Villa is paying the French attacker a cost of about €50 million, including bonuses.

Diaby should prove to be a valuable addition to Aston Villa after having a stellar season for them last year.

This summer, the West Midlands club needs to expand its offensive options, and the Frenchman will bring goals and inventiveness to the final third.

Ollie Watkins, 27, is plainly in need of greater assistance and support from his teammates after Aston Villa relied too heavily on him during the previous campaign.

Next season, Villa will compete in Europe, and in order to succeed, they will need a deeper roster with more talent.

In all competitions last season, Diaby notched 14 goals and 11 assists. He now intends to establish himself in the Premier League.

The 24-year-old can play on either flank, and Unai Emery and Aston Villa will benefit from his versatility.

With guidance and experience, he is probably going to get even better. Without a doubt, the Frenchman has the ability to make the €50 million investment worthwhile in the upcoming seasons.

The Premier League will expect him to have an immediate impact, and the supporters will undoubtedly be rooting for their star player to succeed right away.
