The Argentinian superstar made his long-awaited first appearance for his new club at the DRV PNK Stadium in Fort Lauderdale. He was introduced shortly after the break with his team winning 1-0 but opponents Cruz Azul soon scored a leveller.
But at an unforgettable moment, his quality shone through when it counted most. He gave his new team a winning start in the Leagues Cup by bending a beautiful left-footed effort over the goalkeeper and into the top corner.
