Liverpool could choose Joshua Kimmich as a midfielder because Bayern Munich may decide to part ways with the player.

Joshua Kimmich, a midfielder for Bayern Munich, is reportedly up for sale this summer, according to the German outlet Kicker (via Liverpool Echo).

According to the article, Kimmich and Leon Goretzka are no longer considered to be ‘untouchables’ by the Bayern Munich team. The club’s management would be willing to sell them.

The former has previously been connected to a transfer to Manchester City. It was planned to reunite with former Bayern manager Pep Guardiola. However, that hasn’t occurred yet.

The current Allianz Arena contract for Kimmich runs through the summer of 2025 (Transfermarkt). The German international, who began his career as a right-back, is now a defensive midfielder who plays full-time.

Because Jordan Henderson will join Al-Ettifaq and Fabinho is expected to move for Al-Ittihad, Liverpool is looking for a player who fits that description.

Romeo Lavia, a talented midfielder for Southampton, has been linked to the Reds for a while. However, even if they manage to land the Belgian, they would still require another due to the dual departure.

Immich, 28, possesses the skills, knowledge, and adaptability to play in a variety of midfield positions. Of course, he can also function as a number six.

It would be intriguing to learn if Jurgen Klopp views this as a chance to bring the Bayern midfielder on board. Rarely are the German champions willing to part with one of their finest players when he is still at the top of his game.

Kimmich, who is 28 years old, has at least four or five more years of playing at the top of his game. The player’s profile fits Liverpool’s style of play under Klopp. This summer, the club ought to make every effort to try to recruit the German international.
