The latest Premier League transfer gossip, include Chelsea’s interest in Kylian Mbappe, as well as developments from Arsenal, Manchester City, Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur, and Newcastle United.

Chelsea are apparently seeking to extend their free-spending spree in the summer window, with Mohammed Kudus and Kylian Mbappe on their radar.

On the first day of the Premier League season, the Londoners host Liverpool. Mauricio Pochettino will return to the English Premier League after being fired by Tottenham Hotspur.

Liverpool will be trying to bounce back following a dismal performance last season. Similarly, the Stamford Bridge club is hoping for a successful season despite a rocky start in England for new owner Todd Boehly.

Chelsea have been spending lavishly since the arrival of the American, and reports suggest that this trend will continue. In the Premier League, Arsenal, Manchester City, Manchester United, and Newcastle United are all aiming to add players during the transfer season.

Arsenal

Arsenal is apparently interested in Ajax midfielder Mohammed Kudus.

According to Charles Watts of TeamTalk, the Gunners might reconnect the midfielder with his old teammate Jurrien Timber, who joined the club this summer from the Eredivisie.

“He [Kudus] is a player that they definitely like,” he remarked. “I’ve heard recent reports that they’re looking to ramp up that interest later in the window, which wouldn’t surprise me if that’s the case.”

“I still believe they’re looking to add at least one more player before the deadline, and Kudus checks a lot of boxes in terms of who they’d like to bring in.” He can provide coverage on the right side of the attack, which is a top priority for Arsenal. He’s versatile, which is, once again, a prerequisite if you want to play for Arsenal under Mikel Arteta.

“He’s exactly the age group in which they want to bring in guys. So he checks all the boxes.”

Arsenal forward Folarin Balogun was left out of the team that lost to Manchester United 2-0 and then on penalties on Saturday night. The USA international is at a crossroads in his career because he hasn’t yet nailed down a starting berth for Mikel Arteta’s side but has had a good loan in France.

According to Corriere dello Sport, Inter Milan are interested in Balogun, who has gone to the top of their priority list after Simone Inzaghi’s team rejected down a move for Romelu Lukaku.

Chelsea

While Arsenal is apparently interested in Mohammed Kudus, The Athletic’s David Ornstein reports that Chelsea is also interested in the Ajax midfielder.

The Stamford Bridge club is said to have made contact with the Dutch giants, expressing interest in the Ghanian.

Chelsea is thought to be examining a variety of options, including Kudus. The Ajax midfielder has two years left on his current contract but turned down a one-year extension; now, an agreement on personal terms is thought to be close.

In addition, the Times reports that Paris Saint-Germain will begin talks to sign Kylian Mbappe. The France star has a slew of admirers, including Saudi Arabia and Londoners.

The Parisiens have been unable to persuade Mbappe to extend his contract beyond 2024 with the Ligue 1 giants and now face losing him as a free agent next summer.

As a result, they’re aiming to compel a sale during this time frame. PSG are thought to be expecting Chelsea to lead a group of European teams in enquiring about Mbappe’s availability.

Victor Osimhen, another prospective forward option, is currently in contract negotiations with Napoli. According to Corriere dello Sport, no deal has been reached due to a disagreement over his release clause.
