Raul Jimenez has spent five seasons with Wolves, joining on loan from Benfica in 2018 before signing permanently the following year; the 32-year-old striker had one year left on his Wolves contract; Jimenez completed his physical on Monday.

Fulham have announced the signing of Raul Jimenez from Wolves for a fee which is understood to be £5.5m.

The striker has agreed to a contract extension until the summer of 2025, with the club having the option to extend it by another year.

Jimenez will make his debut against Aston Villa in Fulham’s Summer Series fixture on Wednesday evening.

“It’s critical for me to be here,” Jimenez told the club’s official website. “I will do my best for the team, which is one of the most recognizable in the Premier League.”

“I’m delighted to be here and to play in this stadium; it’s a fantastic venue, and I enjoy playing here.” I’m going to do everything I can to maintain scoring goals in the Premier League.”

Jimenez had a year left on his deal with Wolves after joining on loan from Benfica in 2018 before signing permanently the following year.

 

 

In his first two seasons at the club, the Mexico international scored 44 goals before sustaining a broken skull away at Arsenal in November 2020.

He has scored just 15 goals since then and leaves the club with a total of 57 in 166 appearances.
