Chelsea’s £80 million bid (£75 million plus £5 million in add-ons) for Moises Caicedo has been rejected by Brighton and Hove Albion.
The revised proposal was submitted on Thursday and was immediately rejected through email.
Chelsea’s £80 million bid for Moises Caicedo was rejected by Brighton.
Chelsea have made four bids for the 21-year-old, with Brighton rejecting bids of £60 million, £65 million, and £70 million.
Caicedo, who is now on tour with the south coast club in the United States, wants to move, and personal terms will not be an issue. Brighton want to keep the Ecuador international, and it will take more than £100 million for owner Tony Bloom to change his mind.
Brighton based their appraisal of Caicedo on similar transactions such as Arsenal’s £105 million signing of Declan Rice.
