Following the team’s first training session of the tour, Kostas Tsimikas detailed Liverpool’s goals for their pre-season stay in Singapore.

A 27-man Reds squad arrived in Asia on Friday afternoon to begin the next chapter of their preparations with just over two weeks till the start of the 2023-24 season at Chelsea.
Fixtures against Leicester City and Bayern Munich are part of their work in Singapore, and Tsimikas believes the group is on track.
“The first part of pre-season was extremely difficult for all of the boys; on some days, we had three sessions.” So it’s been quite difficult for us,” the Greece international told Liverpoolfc.com.
“We have two [more] weeks to prepare and three pre-season games left.” So I believe everyone will be ready for the season opener.”
Tsimikas stated his goals for the games against Leicester on Sunday and Bayern three days later: “To win, to play good football, to do what we have trained in the previous weeks.” First and foremost, we want to win.”
Alexis MacAllister and Dominik Szoboszlai are new additions to the squad this summer, having joined from Brighton & Hove Albion and RB Leipzig, respectively.
Tsimikas and his teammates have now had several weeks to get to know the midfielders better, having initially seen their abilities as opponents in prior years.
“They are very good players, and it showed in their teams,” Tsimikas remarked. “We played Alexis a lot of times. They are incredibly technical players who are also quite kind people. I believe they will be of great assistance to us.
“[Alexis] is a very, very tough opponent to play against.” I’m thrilled to have him as a teammate, and I’m confident that we can win many championships together.

“[Dominik] is a very talented and good player.” He demonstrated what he was at his previous squad; he can score, run, and make really smart passes. And I believe he will be of great assistance to us.”
