In today’s news conference, Dominik Szoboszlai, Thiago, Stefan Bajcetic, and Conor Bradley were all mentioned, with just the former travelling to the Far East while the rest recover on Merseyside.

Szoboszlai, Bajcetic, and others: Klopp provides a comprehensive Liverpool injury update before of the Leicester game.

After missing last Monday’s game against Greuther Furth due to a slight ankle injury, the Hungarian is expected to play tomorrow, according to the Reds’ manager, who stated: “Yeah, Dom is back, will train tonight, and if nothing happens here, he will play tomorrow night, yes, definitely.” Szoboszlai, Bajcetic, and others: Klopp provides a comprehensive Liverpool injury update before of the Leicester game.

Bradley was supposed to fly to Asia with the group, but after suffering a slight injury, he was sent home to heal, with Klopp saying, “With Conor, it’s a real shame, to be honest.” Conor performed admirably. But stuff like this happens.”

“Stefan is in the final steps back into team training,” the manager stated of the other two players.

“We left him and Thiago at home because the travel would cost him two, three, maybe four days of training back and forth, and we thought it made no sense in such an important phase of his rehab for both of the boys.”

“But I’m in constant contact, so he will be back in team training, that’s the plan in the moment, when we arrive home. That’s good.”

Overall, Klopp’s reports are often positive. He’ll be relieved that Szoboszlai should be fine for tomorrow, since he’s only got one look at the Hungarian due to his absence for the Greuther Furth encounter.

Caution seemed to have been the order of the day with the other three players, and deservedly so. It would have been absurd to ask them to go nearly halfway across the world for two non-competitive games when adequate rehabilitation is significantly more important.

Bajcetic and Thiago appear to be getting closer to recovering, and their eventual comeback will provide Klopp with a plethora of options in midfield, assuming no other casualties occur in the interim.

Bradley’s injury comes at a bad time after he started the first two pre-season games and given his manager and Liverpool supporters optimism with his performances, but maybe he can shake it off soon and get back into the game when the season begins officially.

With three more friendlies to play before the competitive season begins, every Reds fan will be hoping that no big injuries occur over the next two weeks.
