Vietnam bid farewell to the 2023 Women’s World Cup with a 7-0 hammering by the Netherlands Tuesday, the heaviest defeat at the tournament so far.

            It was a beauty from Esmee Brugts with a curler from outside the box that left Kim Thanh no chance.

              Jill Roord almost scored with a long-range attempts.
            • 12′Netherlands players wasted no time celebrating and quickly got the ball back into the game. Their target is to score as many goals as possible against Vietnam.

              Katja Snoeijs received the ball in the box unmarked after Martens’ pass. She had plenty of time to move the ball to her left foot and score in the far corner. Kim Thanh could only stand there and observe.

              The Netherlands scored 8 points.
              A long pass reached star attacker Lieke Martens, who used her muscle to get by Vietnam defenders before chipping it over keeper Tran Thi Kim Thanh.
