Serrano joins the PPV Super Fight Division alongside Francis Ngannou, Jake Paul and Kayla Harrison on star-studded roster who will compete in global mega events.
The Professional Fighters League (PFL), the world’s fastest growing and most innovative sports league, has announced an exclusive relationship with Amanda Serrano in which she will compete solely in MMA for the new PFL PPV Super Fight Division.
She is the world’s undisputed featherweight boxing champion, the first Puerto Rican fighter to become an undisputed world title, a seven-division world champion, and one of the most influential combat athletes in the world.
Amanda Serrano has always demonstrated incredible strength and punching power in the ring, leading to a 44-2-1 record with a staggering 30 KO’s and no other boxer in history has achieved her level of success in MMA and Jiu Jitsu.
She will now return to the ring with a 2-0-1 MMA record, having won both of her career fights by submission. She also has a 5-0 record in No-Gi Jiu-Jitsu with 4 submissions, demonstrating her ability to be an elite MMA champion. Serrano’s most recent MMA fight was a submission victory over Valentina Garcia in 2021.
Serrano joins Francis Ngannou, Jake Paul, and Kayla Harrison in the PFL PPV Super Fight Division, which was created to form true business ties with MMA’s top superstars in order for them to compete in worldwide big events. Her opponent and debut in the PFL SmartCage will be announced at a later date. PFL’s Super Fight Division has partnered with DAZN, which will distribute events on its PPV platform in Europe and other major foreign markets.
“I joined the PFL PPV Super Fight Division because of their revolutionary format, which gives fighters unprecedented power.” “The PFL’s commitment to promoting high-profile, pay-per-view events featuring some of the world’s biggest MMA stars represents an incredible opportunity to elevate my career to new heights and prove my ability beyond the ring,” Serrano stated.
“I’m known for boxing, but I’ve always loved and trained in MMA and Jiu-Jitsu, knowing that those skills would only help me against any opponent.”
“The league’s commitment to gender equality, providing equal opportunities and recognition of female fighters, is also a driving force behind my decision. I can’t wait to step back into the cage and deliver thrilling performances and unforgettable moments for fans around the world.”
“I’m thrilled to announce undisputed world boxing champion Amanda Serrano as the next global superstar to join the PFL PPV Super Fight Division,” said PFL CEO Peter Murray.
“Our fighter first culture has attracted the world’s top athletes and we’re looking forward to seeing Amanda take on the sport of MMA with the PFL.”
“Amanda Serrano’s decision to join the Professional Fighters League is a natural fit for one of the most accomplished combat sports stars in history,” stated Nakisa Bidarian and Jake Paul, co-creators of the PFL PPV Super Fight Division.
“The PFL’s innovative format, combined with its commitment to equal fighter pay and elevating female fighters, offers Amanda an unrivalled opportunity to showcase her MMA skills to the world.” She is a knockout queen in the ring and a submission artist in the cage.
“Her inclusion in the PPV Super Fight Division is a testament to the league’s growth and appeal, further cementing the PFL as the premier destination for MMA stars worldwide.”
PFL is the fastest growing MMA company and the second largest MMA company in the world. The PFL is the only MMA league with a sports-season framework, in which individual fighters compete in a regular season, playoffs, and championship each year, making the PFL a “win and advance” meritocracy similar to all other major sports.
The PFL fighter roster hails from over 20 countries and 25% of PFL fighters are independently ranked in the top 25 of their weight-class. The company leads in technology and innovation, with its proprietary PFL SmartCage powering real-time betting and next-gen viewing experience.
