Kudus made it apparent that he wanted to leave Ajax, and the team was geared up for his departure. Although a move to Arsenal had been mentioned earlier in the summer, it now seems that Brighton is in the cards.
Ajax and Brighton have reportedly reached a preliminary understanding, according to The Athletic. Brighton will fork up a €40 million club record fee.
Although personal terms have not yet been decided upon, they are reportedly close to being done.
Ajax has already sold Jurrien Timber and Dusan Tadic this summer, and Edson Alvarez is anticipated to join them in the near future by joining West Ham United. This is another high-profile departure for Ajax this summer.
