Team Shevchenko and Team Zinchenko’s Game4Ukraine encounter at Stamford Bridge finished in a 2-2 draw.

The event, which aimed to raise money for a school in Ukraine amid the continuing war with Russia, was organized by Arsenal’s Oleksandr Zinchenko and legendary striker Andriy Shevchenko.

Along with a few other celebrities, former and present athletes such Mykhailo Mudryk of Chelsea, Gerard Pique, and Fabio Cannavaro made appearances.

Arsene Wenger’s team, led by Zinchenko, seized the lead within of 38 minutes following a rush of opportunities for both teams.

The Game4Ukraine match between Team Shevchenko and Team Zinchenko ended in a draw

However, their advantage did not last long. Four minutes before halftime, a former AC Milan player got past Pires on the edge of the box and scored an unstoppable goal into the corner.

During the lengthy halftime intermission, Tom Walker, Pete Doherty, and the Ukrainian band Boombox all performed on stage.

After 54 minutes, Team Zinchenko took the lead once more. Former Shakhtar Donetsk defender Darijo Srna scored from a low cross by Jack Wilshere that found its way into the bottom corner.

Team Shevchenko levelled the scoring again on the 77 minute mark. Jermaine Defoe delivered a low cross from a tight angle on the left. The ball bypassed a number of players but it eventually found William gallas who slammed the ball home from close-range.

In the end, the two sides could not be separated and shared a trophy.
