The midfielder just came back from a loan stint at Chelsea, but the club decided against exercising their option to make the move permanent.

Over the past several weeks, he has also been connected to West Ham United, RB Leipzig, Bayer Leverkusen, and RC Lens.

The Switzerland international joined Juventus from Borussia Monchengladbach in January 2022 for €10 million, although he only made 15 competitive games, scoring one goal and providing one assist.

Monaco and Juventus are in advanced negotiations to sign Zakaria, according to Calciomercato.com, and Juventus hopes to close the €20 million deal the next week.

The 26-year-old defensive midfielder has made 49 senior appearances for his nation, scoring three goals during that time.

He graduated from Servette Youth Academy and then played for Young Boys and Borussia Monchengladbach.

Zakaria only donned the Chelsea jersey 11 times throughout the loan period.
