Kane, 30, is in the final year of his deal in north London. As a result, Tottenham are in the terrible situation of having to decide whether to trade their all-time leading scorer or risk losing him for free next summer.

Bayern Munich has emerged as the sole serious contender to sign Kane. Three successive proposals, the most recent of which was valued more than £86 million, all fell short.

Tottenham has found a successor for Harry Kane, with a massive new Bayern bid certain to succeed.

Despite Bayern’s insistence that their third proposal was their final attempt, conversations between Bayern and Tottenham have continued.

According to Sky Sports, executives from both teams met throughout the night, and the end outcome is expected to be a fourth bid.

According to Sky Germany and the Times, Bayern Munich is contemplating a massive new offer costing over £95 million.

That is still less than Spurs’ £100 million estimate, though the Times reports that Tottenham are ‘increasingly resigned to losing Harry Kane’.

Bayern aim to complete the deal this week, while Kane has informed both clubs, through his representatives, that he wants his future resolved before the start of the new season.

As a result, Bayern must submit a proposal within the next 48-72 hours. Spurs are anticipated to make a decision quickly after the complaint has been filed.

One issue that could be important is how much of the proposed £95 million bid Bayern is willing to pay upfront.

The £86 million bid consisted of £73 million + £13 million in add-ons. According to the Times, Spurs would prefer to get the majority of any £95 million sum up front.

Tottenham spending spree coming if Kane leaves

With such a large price, Tottenham would be able to attack the remaining three weeks of the transfer market. To that goal, another center-half besides Micky van de Ven is desired.

Furthermore, a direct replacement for Kane is required, and according to the Times, Ange Postecoglou will turn to Gift Orban. Tottenham has found a successor for Harry Kane

The Nigeria international plays club football for Gent, where he has 22 goals in 24 games since signing.

Orban, 21, is worth roughly €30 million (£26 million), according to Belgian writer Sacha Tavolieri, who claims Postecoglou has already sanctioned the move.

The Times back up that claim, stating Spurs ‘plan to step up their interest in Gift Orban’ if Kane leaves.

Orban would then compete with Richarlison for the starting role at centre-forward.
