Moises Caicedo consider Chelsea, despite Liverpool interest
Moises Caicedo remains keen on joining Chelsea, despite Liverpool’s attempt to outbid their Premier League rivals for the Brighton midfielder.
This summer, Chelsea had multiple offers for the Ecuador international rejected by Brighton, including one for £80 million.

However, Liverpool entered the contest to recruit Caicedo this week and have held long conversations with Brighton, who are asking a cost of £100 million for the midfielder.
Caicedo is now in London, according to The Times, because he wants to join Chelsea as soon as possible.
However, according to the source, Jurgen Klopp is eager to speak with Caicedo in attempt to encourage the 21-year-old to join Liverpool instead.
Meanwhile, The Telegraph adds that Liverpool ‘have an uphill struggle’ to persuade Caicedo to reject a move to Chelsea since the midfielder has been ‘clear for weeks’ that he wants to move to Stamford Bridge.
According to the source, Chelsea is planning to submit an amended offer for £90 million plus an additional £10 million in bonuses, which will satisfy Brighton’s £100 million asking price.
Chelsea’s goal has been to strike an arrangement with Brighton before their Premier League opener against Liverpool on Sunday.
Mauricio Pochettino’s team has also made a £48 million approach to Southampton for Romeo Lavia, who has been Liverpool’s top transfer target in recent weeks.
