Tottenham Hotspur have accepted Bayern Munich’s increased offer for Harry Kane, leaving it up to the player to decide whether or not to proceed with the transfer.
Although the personal aspects of the transfer have been completed, the 30-year-old has been leaning towards staying in the last week, since his greatest dream is to join Manchester United. The Old Trafford management, on the other hand, has been unwilling to participate in discussions with Daniel Levy, leaving Bayern free to engage in drawn-out negotiations that have finally concluded – at least at one level. Tottenham has accepted an increased offer from Bayern Munich for Harry Kane worth more than £100m bid.

Spurs are expected to get more than £80 million up front, with the totals of the deal exceeding £110 million in attainable clauses.

Levy had taken that attitude from the start.

The Kane camp gave Bayern every indication that they were ready to go during the summer, but this now provides a last dramatic tension as the player decides whether or not he wants to leave the Premier League.

Kane is in the final year of his contract at Tottenham, but he ignored the continuous speculation about his future to score four goals in a 5-1 friendly triumph over Shakhtar Donetsk last Sunday.

Dejan Kulusevski assisted Kane’s hat-trick and thereafter praised his teammate’s professionalism.

“He scored four goals, so he’s very good,” remarked Kulusevski. “No, he’s incredible. To be honest, I can learn from his thinking just like everyone else. He simply goes out and performs every day.

“He’s a consummate professional.” I’m glad I could assist him score today, but we obviously want him to stay and will go to any length to keep him.”
