Arsenal Team News vs. Nottingham Forest: Elneny, Zinchenko OUT

Mikel Arteta will be pumped for this weekend after winning the Community Shield last week. Defeating Manchester City was a massive statement of purpose, demonstrating just what this team is capable of.

The only players that will be missing from the match day squad are going to be striker Gabriel Jesus and midfielder Mohamed Elneny. He is recovering from a knee injury, and it will be a few more weeks before we see him in action. The good news for Arteta is that there are other options that he can make use of.

One piece of good news is that Alex Zinchenko, who missed out on the Community Shield, will be available for selection. He’ll most likely replace Jurrien Timber at left back, and it’ll be intriguing to see how the north Londoners set up.

Arsenal Fever View:

The game against Forest provides an excellent opportunity to get off to a good start in front of the home crowd. Arteta would want his team to be aggressive and to take the game to the visitors. With the players they have, a win should be a guarantee.

Though Forest is anticipated to lose, they do have some talented players on their roster. The home defence must be cautious while dealing with players like Brennan Johnson and Morgan Gibbs-White, since they may do significant damage.

It will be intriguing to watch how new signings such as Declan Rice and Kai Havertz fit into this team. The signals in pre-season have been positive, and taking that into the Premier League is critical.

Arsenal will know the highs and lows that are going to come this season but a win in the first match can be a real boost. The Gunners have what it takes to get a comfortable win and doing so in front of the Emirates will give the fans something more to cheer about.
