THE BIGGER PICTURE: Bellingham, who was named Bundesliga Player of the Year in 2022/23, appears to have hit the ground running in Madrid. Last season, the Spanish giants finished 10 points behind rivals Barcelona, and Carlo Ancelotti’s men will aim to win this time around. The England international will also most likely assist Madrid in their quest to reclaim the Champions League championship having succumbing to eventual winners Manchester City last time around.
WHAT NEXT? Madrid return to league action on Saturday against Almeria.
