Chelsea reach agreement in principle to sign forward, fee is €40m
Because signing Moises Caicedo and Roméo Lavia wasn’t enough after already spending huge amounts of money, Chelsea are on the verge of buying Crystal Palace’s Michael Olise.
Chelsea reach agreement in principle to sign forward, fee is €40m
The information was released on Twitter by RMC Sport journalist Fabrice Hawkins,, who detailed the operation.
He said the Frenchman’s transfer to Stamford Bridge is nearing completion after a ‘deal in principle’ was reached between Chelsea and Crystal Palace.
According to rumours, the Blues will shell out “slightly less than €40 million” to sign the Eagles player this summer.
Regarding Olise, it should be noted that he had previously decided to transfer from Crystal Palace to Chelsea and would sign a “long-term contract” there.
The fact that the majority of the signings Todd Boehly has made have signed contracts lasting more than five years shouldn’t really come as a surprise, and we can anticipate Olise to do the same.
This is undoubtedly a setback for Roy Hodgson at Crystal Palace, but if the Portuguese media are to be believed, they have already lined up a replacement.
