Manchester City has accepted a transfer offer from Arsenal.

Manchester City has accepted an offer from Al-Nassr FC to sell Arsenal-linked Aymeric Laporte, who is said to be receptive to the move.

According to David Ornstein of The Athletic, Manchester City have accepted an offer from Saudi Arabian club Al-Nassr for centre-back Aymeric Laporte. Manchester City has accepted a transfer offer from Arsenal.

Laporte’s contract with Manchester City expires in two years, but he’s been struggling for minutes and has faced greater competition for starts since the signing of Josko Gvardiol.

If Arsenal looks to bring in another defender this summer, Mikel Arteta is said to be interested in Laporte.

Before this week, a defensive addition appeared doubtful, but Jurrien Timber’s injury and reports of Saudi Arabian interest in Gabriel Magalhaes have put the matter to the forefront – even if Gabriel appears to be staying.

On his YouTube channel, Fabrizio Romano revealed Arsenal’s interest in Laporte, however he said Manchester City would be wary of such a trade.

“Aymeric Laporte is a player they really like,” Romano remarked (via TBR Football).

“This is true; the rumours about Laporte are true in the sense that he is one of Arsenal’s favourite players.” But, according to what I’ve heard, Man City did not want to trade another player to Arsenal, preferring a different type of destination for Laporte.”

Saudi Arabia appears to be the ideal place for City to sell to.

Along with Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur and Aston Villa were monitoring Laporte’s situation as he often lost his place towards the end of last season.

But City want to sell abroad, and they’ve evidently now received a satisfactory offer to do so.
