Chelsea accept Newcastle’s proposal for Lewis Hall
Chelsea are said to have accepted a proposal from Newcastle for promising adolescent Lewis Hall. Last season, the 18-year-old revelation was one of the few bright spots at Stamford Bridge, breaking into Graham Potter and Frank Lampard’s first-team setup after impressing within Chelsea’s Cobham youth ranks.
The highly-rated prospect featured nine times in the Premier League last season and his performances evidently left an impression on Newcastle boss Eddie Howe. Chelsea accept Newcastle’s proposal for Lewis Hall
That’s because, according to The Telegraph, the Magpies have negotiated a fee with the Blues for Hall, who can play in midfield or at left-back.
Hall will relocate to St James’ Park in a deal worth up to £28 million, including add-ons.
Hall is highly rated at Chelsea and the club offered him a new six-year contract in the ongoing window.
But Newcastle opened negotiations for the young left-back and Chelsea want a fee in the region of £30m for Hall.
However, it has been claimed that Newcastle have now agreed an initial fee of £28m with Chelsea for the youngster’s services.
Hall is a product of Chelsea’s academy and the 18-year-old made nine appearances for the club last season.
