Chelsea winger Hakim Ziyech has undergone a physical ahead of his move to Galatasaray, while the Blues are hoping to confirm the additions of Southampton midfielder Romeo Lavia and Santos striker Deivid Washington, who both had medicals yesterday.

The Morocco international, who signed from Ajax in 2020, has been out of favour at Stamford Bridge for some time, and has previously sought loan and permanent moves away from the club in order to get playing time and recover his potent form.

A last-minute loan move to Paris Saint-Germain fell through on deadline day in January when Chelsea failed to complete the appropriate paperwork with the Ligue 1 champions.

Earlier in the summer transfer window, a move to the Saudi Pro League fell through after the winger failed his physical due to a knee problem.

However, as Mail Sport discovered on Wednesday, the Turkish Super Lig club is interested in signing the 30-year-old, who is on the verge of leaving Chelsea.

After signing Moises Caicedo for a British record £115 million, the west London club has been quite efficient in recruiting in the middle.

The Blues signed the former Brighton player from Liverpool, who were the frontrunners for his signature after finalising a £111 million deal with the Seagulls.

But, as with fellow Reds target Romeo Lavia, Chelsea prevailed, bringing their total investment since the club’s acquisition in May 2022 to almost £900 million.

Lavia’s £58 million agreement is nearing completion as the player’s present and prospective teams negotiate the form of the money.

Liverpool had three bids rejected for the youngster and were unable to reach an agreement that met Southampton’s £50 million asking price, with their best offer of £45 million falling short.

On Monday, Lavia stated that Chelsea was his favourite option as it became evident that the London club was willing to fulfill Southampton’s valuation for the midfielder.

Chelsea are looking to bring in Michael Olise after triggering his £35m release clause at Palace

Mauricio Pochettino’s side had earlier agreed a £17 million deal for Washington, who becomes the club’s second signing from the Brazilian side, following in the footsteps of former teammate Angelo.

Chelsea have also activated Crystal Palace star Michael Olise’s £35 million release clause in order to reinforce their ranks.

The club’s pursuit of the France international is alleged to have irritated his present club, and Palace are concerned that Chelsea’s potential bid for Olise violated transfer rules and etiquette.

Sources have indicated the south London club have considered formally reporting their top-flight rivals for making an illegal approach, though whether they are prepared to take such a drastic step remains to be seen.
