Comparing Harry Kane and Thierry Henry’s Spurs and Arsenal records.

Comparing Harry Kane and Thierry Henry's Spurs and Arsenal records

There can be little debate that Harry Kane and Thierry Henry both rank as two of the best Premier League strikers we have ever seen. But how do their overall records compare?

Kane announced his retirement from Tottenham this summer in order to join Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga.

We have no doubt that the 30-year-old will return to the Premier League one day; after all, he is only 47 goals behind Alan Shearer’s all-time scoring record.

Kane said goodbye to Tottenham fans in a poignant speech as he believed it was the perfect time in his career to take on a new challenge.

“I wanted to be the first to tell you Tottenham fans that I will be leaving the club today,” he announced on Twitter. “Obviously, I’m going through a lot of emotions right now, sad to be leaving the club where I’ve spent nearly 20 years of my life, from an 11-year-old boy to a 30-year-old man.”

“It’s difficult to put into words how I feel about saying goodbye to a club and fans who have done so much for me throughout my career.”

Given Kane’s amazing goal totals throughout his career, it’s only natural to compare his numbers to some of the game’s all-time greats.

Arsenal fans know what it’s like to say goodbye to their all-time leading goalscorer, as Henry left the club in 2007 to join Barcelona.

Henry did had one final hurrah with the Gunners before hanging up his boots, joining them on loan in 2011-12.

Because Kane has already left the Premier League, we wondered who had the superior overall record between the two forwards. And how do their goals per game stats stack up?

We compared their Premier League and all-competition goals and assists to see how the two North London greats compare.
