Tottenham comfirmed line-up against Manchester United

Tottenham have beaten Manchester United once in their last nine meetings but with ANGE POSTECOGLOU unbeaten in his last 38 home games-there is hope and optimism.

Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou is hoping to achieve what Antonio Conte was unable to accomplish by defeating Manchester United, whose only victory came in a 6-1 thumping of the Red Devils under Jose Mourinho in 2020.

Spurs are adjusting to life without Harry Kane, and it took a hard-fought 2-2 draw with Brentford to restore faith after the departure of their talisman and goal machine. They will now have to aim to go one step further by beating Manchester United.

Rodrigo Bentancur, Fraser Forster, Bryan Gil, and Ryan Sessegnon remain out, but Richarlison, Son Heung-min, and Kulusevski are all starting.

Ange Postecoglou was unbeaten in all 38 of his home league matches as Celtic manager, with his club scoring 113 goals, so he will be confident going into this one. Tottenham fans are protesting against the club’s owners following a rough year at the club; a win here will ease anxieties.

The Lilywhites finished ninth in the Premier League last season, their lowest place since 2010, and there is a perception that there is no direction following the appointments of Jose Mourinho, Nuno Espirito Santo, and Antonio Conte.

The arrival of Postecoglou is expected to herald a new dawn and fans will hope that their players are up to the task for what is expected to be an absolute entertaining 90 minutes of football in north London.

Below is the starting lineup the Australian manager has put up for the game:

1. Guglielmo Vicario

It hasn’t been the most convincing start to his Tottenham career but a good showing against United could do it.

2. Micky van de Ven

Brentford may have only been one outing, but it looks like Spurs have got a serious defender

3. Cristian Romero

Was subbed due a head injury against Brentford but reports are that it is nothing serious.

4. Destiny Udogie

The young Italian impressed in pre-season and against Brentford and will hope to continue against Manchester United.
