According to a journalist, Tottenham is considering a £100 million striker deal for Gift Orban.

Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a move for Brentford striker Ivan Toney, and when speaking to GIVEMESPORT, writer Dean Jones highlighted a potential stumbling block in the deal.

Meanwhile, Paul Brown has stated that Davinson Sanchez’s future may differ from what Ange Postecoglou thought, and an allegation has been made about Richarlison’s place in Tottenham’s starting XI.

Tottenham Hotspur transfer news – Ivan Toney

According to The Athletic, Spurs have considered a move for Toney internally during the transfer window.

The England international, despite being a terrific striker, will be unable to play professional football until January due to an eight-month ban for violating betting laws.

Spurs will be looking for a new number nine in the coming weeks, and Toney would be unable to make an immediate impact at Hotspur Way.

Spurs have the financial clout to persuade Brentford to split ways with Kane after earning £100 million from Bayern Munich, according to Sky Sports.

However, it may be more prudent for the north London club to invest in a ready-made striker before the transfer market closes in September.

Toney could be a good long-term investment for Postecoglou’s side, but there will be concerns owing to his inability to play during the first half of the season.

Brentford manager Thomas Frank has even suggested that Toney would cost £100m. to any interested party.

Now, writer Jones has offered some insight into Tottenham’s chances of acquiring Toney this summer. According to a journalist, Tottenham is considering a £100 million striker deal for Gift Orban.

Tottenham are exploring the possibility of signing Ivan Toney from Brentford, but a deal may prove difficult this summer

What has Jones said about Tottenham and Toney?

Jones has stated that Spurs have begun to investigate the prospect of signing Brentford’s Toney.

Given how highly Brentford regard Toney, the journalist believes the club could easily price him out of a move.

“Toney is a deal that they have started to explore,” he told GIVEMESPORT, “but it will come down to how realistic Brentford are in terms of what his value is.” They appear to be pricing him out of a move like this.

“At this point, there isn’t much hope for Tottenham to make much progress on that.” If they are looking for another forward, they have been linked with Romelu Lukaku, but I am skeptical. That is not something I believe will happen.”
