The transfer is nearing completion, but Bayern must still find a replacement for Pavard.

Pavard, who won the World Cup with France in 2018, had been heavily linked with a move to United.

However, it appears that Erik ten Hag’s side will miss out on signing the 27-year-old.

Pavard’s contract at Bayern is up in a year, thus this is the German club’s last chance to obtain a substantial transfer price.

Pavard began his senior career at Lille before moving on to Stuttgart in 2016 before joining Bayern Munich in 2019.

Pavard has made 163 appearances for Bayern and has scored 12 goals, while he has provided 12 assists.

He won the Champions League in 2020 and has won the Bundesliga title on three occasions.
