Fulham face competition from Nottingham Forest and Everton for Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi.

According to the Evening Standard, , Nottingham Forest and Everton are ready to compete with Fulham for Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi.

The Chelsea Academy product is eager to get his career started by leaving the club this summer. He has already agreed on personal terms with Fulham. The Cottagers, however, are unwilling to pay the £8 million transfer price asked by the Blues. Fulham face competition from Nottingham Forest and Everton for Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi.

Everton and Nottingham Forest are close to joining the race for the 22-year-old as the transfer market enters its final week. It remains to be seen whether any team will make a formal offer.

Chelsea are reportedly interested in signing Forest forward Brennan Johnson before the deadline. While it has been reported that the Blues will use Andrey Santos as a makeweight to sign the Welsh international, can a case be made for Hudson-Odoi to be included? Only if Forest demonstrates genuine interest in the latter.

It’s a shame that the 22-year-old’s future is still out in the air, even though the season is well begun. He is a tremendous player who struggled to obtain regular game time at Stamford Bridge and had a difficult experience on loan at Bayer Leverkusen last time around.

Hudson-Odoi was on loan at Bayer Leverkusen last season and struggled for game time.

Let’s hope he gets a deal with one of the clubs soon. At 22, the winger hasn’t wasted much time in resurrecting his career and maybe playing for a top club in the next years.

There was a reason Bayern Munich was interested in signing him a few years back. The talent is present. It only has to be properly harnessed by a coach who believes in the individual.
