According to Fabrizio Romano, a £32 million player could end up signing for Tottenham.

Tottenham Hotspur traded Harry Kane a few weeks ago, but they have yet to reinvest any of the money they received for their star striker.

Indeed, it has been a long time since the Spurs have made a signing, and many are wondering who will be the next to come through the door.

Tottenham are in desperate need of defensive reinforcements, as they currently lack depth at the back.

Tosin Adarabioyo and Edmond Tapsoba have been connected, but according to Fabrizio Romano of the Here We Go Podcast, Clement Lenglet is a player to keep an eye on as the transfer market winds down.

Watch Lenglet

Romano revealed what he knows about the £32m player.

“I mentioned Monaco before, but Tosin Adarabioyo is a player they are interested in, and he has been on their radar for quite some time.” “At the moment, nothing is concrete or advanced, but in the final days of the window, if Barcelona can’t find another solution for Lenglet, it could be one to watch,” Romano added.

Underwhelming

We don’t want to be too harsh on Tottenham after such a spectacular weekend, but this would be a disappointing finale to the transfer market.

The Spurs needed a thorough defensive makeover coming into this summer, but it appears like Micky Van de Ven will be the sole new defensive acquisition.

Of course, Guglielmo Vicario will help Spurs concede fewer goals, but the backline required serious surgery, which has yet to occur.

Let’s hope the Spurs have something other than Lenglet up their sleeves.
