According to talkSPORT, West Ham‘s second bid for Ajax offensive midfielder Mohammed Kudus has been rejected.

The radio station tweeted (22 August) that the Hammers’ second bid of £34 million plus add-ons had been rejected by the Dutch giants.

Ajax are demanding a guaranteed fee of at least £40 million in order to sell their 23-year-old Ghana international.

Frustration

This is slowly turning into a transfer tale that is dragging on, with fans undoubtedly growing impatient. There are only a few days left in the current transfer window, which has been filled with drama at the London Stadium, and with the Premier League season officially starting, Moyes will most certainly want some clarification.

If Kudus is not to be signed, there isn’t much time for the club to find a substitute and finalize a deal, and fans will be hoping that they already have replacements lined up in the background if a third attempt for Kudus is turned down.

Of course, there is no reason that a deal can not still get done, but time is now of the essence and the clock is ticking against officials at the East London club.

It is now or never, and time to pay up if they want to bring the 23-year-old to the Premier League.
