Mount will miss the games against Forest and Arsenal due to injury.

Mason Mount will be sidelined for Manchester United until after the international break after suffering an injury against Tottenham.

The former Chelsea man joined United early in the transfer window and started the first two league games this season under Erik ten Hag. He will, however, miss the forthcoming game against Nottingham Forest and is also anticipated to miss the trip to Arsenal after suffering an injury last time out.

Mason Mount, an England midfielder, will miss Manchester United’s next two Premier League games against Nottingham Forest and Arsenal due to injury, the club said on Tuesday.

The 24-year-old, who has started both of United’s league games this season, was injured in last weekend’s 2-0 defeat at Tottenham Hotspur.

“The small complaint is expected to keep Mount out until the international break next month,” United said in a statement.

The next international break takes place from Sept. 4-12.

United will host Nottingham Forest at Old Trafford on Saturday before travelling to Arsenal, last season’s runners-up, on September 3.

Erik Ten Hag’s team has had a shaky start to the season, losing at Tottenham on Saturday after a disputed win over Wolves the previous weekend.
