Tottenham is interested in two strikers, according to Fabrizio Romano.

Fabrizio Romano claims Tottenham are currently looking at Gift Orban and Jonathan David as potential striker options now that Harry Kane has left North London.

According to the Italian writer, Spurs are looking for a new attacker, but they want the correct type of player rather than being forced to sign a Kane replacement.

Orban is believed to be viewed as a ‘possibility’ for the Lilywhites, and Daniel Levy and company are already familiar with the terms of a potential purchase, even though they have not yet submitted an offer.

Jonathan David, meanwhile, is also on Tottenham’s radar, although he is deemed too expensive at this moment in time because of his £51m price tag.

David has been connected with Spurs several times in recent weeks (Gazzetta dello Sport via Sport Witness) and is rumoured to be the man Fabio Paratici wanted to sign as Kane’s replacement (Ben Jacobs).

Meanwhile, Gift Orban is rumoured to desire a move to Lille, ironically Jonathan David’s club, because he is unhappy being second choice in N17 (DeMorgen).

Fabrizio Romano says Spurs like Orban and David

“They (Spurs) could sign a new striker, the idea is to sign a new striker, but they want the right player, at the right price, not to spend money on a player they don’t trust 100%,” Fabrizio stated (via ThatsFootballTV). They are also discussing it with Postecoglou.

“Gift Orban remains an option; he is one of the names they are considering, and they are aware of the terms of the deal but have not yet submitted an official bid.”

“Another player who Tottenham admires is Lille’s Jonathan David.” However, David is now regarded as too pricey, with Lille demanding €60 million.”

Spurs Web Opinion:

Gift Orban seems like the kind of player we have seen down the years where Spurs don’t take a punt on him, then he’s suddenly worth £100m in a few years. Look at James Maddison, Jarrod Bowen, Eberechi Eze, etc.
