Tottenham striker Troy Parrott will go out on loan after failing to impress the manager

According to The Mirror’s Darren Lewis, Tottenham striker Troy Parrott, who is highly respected within the club’s academy, has yet to persuade manager Ange Postecoglou of his ability.

Despite his talent and potential, Parrott has struggled to get into Tottenham’s first squad and has been loaned out to a number of English clubs in order to further his development.

Lewis revealed on the Last Word on Spurs podcast that Parrott’s future is questionable and that Postecoglou may not be completely sold on him. Tottenham striker Troy Parrott will go out on loan after failing to impress the manager

He stated:

“Let’s not kid ourselves, you still have Troy Parrott and you still have Dane Scarlett, they look capable, but the suggestion is that it’s likely Troy will go out on loan again, I don’t know if Dane has been given a squad number yet.

The uncertainty around them suggests to me that maybe Ange isn’t certain about them, even though, to me, Troy looks like a good player.”

Parrott has shown promise during his loan appearances, scoring 47 goals and assisting 14 times in 155 games.

There is no doubt about the 21-year-old’s potential. He has performed admirably during his loan periods.

Parrott’s future at Tottenham has been hotly debated, with many fans and analysts hoping to see him break into the first squad.

The youngster can draw inspiration from Harry Kane, another academy product who went on to become Tottenham’s all-time leading goal scorer.

Kane, who had a number of loan periods before breaking into the first team, went on to become a Tottenham icon, and Parrott will be aiming to follow in his footsteps.

However, it remains to be seen whether Parrott will be given the opportunity to make his imprint at Tottenham, with reports claiming that the boss is wary of the young striker.
