Ange Postecoglou says that his Tottenham Hotspur team will be different for the Carabao Cup encounter against Fulham.

Ange Postecoglou has admitted that he will make changes to his Tottenham Hotspur side for Tuesday’s League Cup fixture at Fulham.

The North Londoners earned their first three Premier League points of the season earlier today with a 2-0 win at Bournemouth, and Postecoglou reveals he will now alter his squad after starting with the same lineup at the Vitality Stadium.

Tottenham began the transfer window by bringing in Guglielmo Vicario, James Maddison, Manor Solomon, Alejo Veliz, Ashley Phillips, and, most recently, Micky van de Ven, with Solomon being the senior player who has had to wait for a few minutes.

Postecoglou is dealing with a bloated team, with only Harry Winks leaving permanently and Troy Parrott and Joe Rodon signing loan deals.

Hugo Lloris, Djed Spence, Harvey White, and Tanguy Ndombele are all still at the club despite not being in the Australian’s plans, and the transfer window shuts in less than a week.

Some players in the team have had limited opportunities to play in the first three games, with Manor Solomon and Giovani Lo Celso among those expecting to appear in the Carabao Cup encounter on Tuesday evening.

“Yeah, we’ll make some changes,” he said to Football.London. We have several players who are eager to play and are working hard in training. And the way we play wears us down.

“It’s a quick turnaround, and there’s another game the next week.” We’ll make some adjustments, but only if we win the game. That is why we are implementing modifications. Not because I want to play a game with men. Hopefully, by making the alterations, we will be able to maintain the intensity, tempo, and quality of our game.”

Tottenham will have a busy few days as the club must move several players off the pay bill rather than having them languish around the new first-team squad that Postecoglou is working hard to develop a new culture for.

There must also be incoming activity, particularly with Richarlison struggling in the first three matches. The team should attempt to sign a young player like Gift Orban.
