Romano claims that the deal will be a €10 million (£8.6 million) loan with a purchase option worth €20 million (£17.1 million) and €5 million (£4.3 million) add-ons during the summer transfer window.
Discussions between the two clubs are said to have heated up late last night and early this morning, and it appears that a deal is now on the verge of being finalized by both clubs.
Liverpool, Barcelona, and Atletico Madrid are among the other clubs said to be interested in the Moroccan, who helped his country reach the World Cup semi-finals in 2022.
Amrabat, on the other hand, is said to be dead set on joining Manchester United.
The former FC Utrecht teenager will depart Fiorentina having played 107 times for the Italian club in all competitions, including 49 appearances during the 2022-23 season.
Due to the uncertainty surrounding his future, Amrabat has yet to appear for the Italian club this season.
During the pre-match press conference on Friday, Man United head coach Erik ten Hag told reporters, “I can’t tell because I don’t know.” We will notify you when we receive new information.”
Amrabat will bolster a midfield department that has already lost Mason Mount due to injury, although Scott McTominay is expected to stay despite late interest from Fulham.
Altay Bayindir was confirmed as a new Manchester United player on Friday morning, and he is expected to be in the squad for Sunday’s match against Arsenal.
During his news conference, Ten Hag also revealed that Sergio Reguilon has trained with the Red Devils, with his loan move from Tottenham Hotspur on the cusp of being announced.
