Sambi Lokonga has agreed to join Luton Town on loan.

Following an agreement between Luton Town and Arsenal for the midfielder’s temporary transfer, Albert Sambi Lokonga is poised to spend the current season on loan at Luton Town.

Lokonga was looking for a new club after Arsenal informed him that he was no longer a part of their plans, and Arsenal was eager to find him a new home. A prospective deal to Burnley earlier this summer fell through, raising the prospect of him remaining at Arsenal for another season. Sambi Lokonga has agreed to join Luton Town on loan.

However, recently promoted Luton Town stepped in to save the situation by signing the Belgian midfielder. Fabrizio Romano, a former Anderlecht trainee, has confirmed that he would spend the season with Luton Town.

This loan deal allows Arsenal to temporarily dump a player who is not in their immediate plans, and they will be hoping that Lokonga does well at Luton, earning a permanent move at the conclusion of the season.

Just Arsenal Opinion

Sambi Lokonga should play well at Luton Town and could earn a starting berth for the newly promoted side.

He has no future at the Emirates, so he needs to perform well and secure a permanent move away from us in the coming season.

We expect him to be retained if the Hatters retain their spot in the top division for another season, but for the time being, the important thing is that he is not in our group on a temporary basis.
