Tottenham and Nottingham Forest have agreed on a fee for Brennan Johnson.
Tottenham Hotspur have agreed to pay more than £45 million for Nottingham Forest attacker Brennan Johnson.
Spurs had made the Wales international their number one priority following the departure of Harry Kane and appeared to have landed him after reaching an agreement with Forest, according to the PA news agency.
Johnson will now go through a medical exam, and the deal is anticipated to close before the 11 p.m. deadline.
Last season, the 22-year-old was a major figure in Forest’s Premier League survival, scoring eight goals and providing three assists in a struggling side.
Due to Johnson’s growth at the club, Forest, who turned down two bids from Brentford for their indigenous talent, will be able to meet Financial Fair Play rules with the transfer.
Tottenham and Nottingham Forest have agreed on a fee for Brennan Johnson.
Spurs have been interested in him for some time because of his speed and ability to stretch defences.
As a potential alternative, Forest are attempting to secure a permanent transfer for Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi, while also looking to sign Argentina international Nicolas Dominguez.
Johnson would be Tottenham’s ninth signing of the summer transfer window, after deals were made permanent for both Dejan Kulusevski and Pedro Porro, while James Maddison, Guglielmo Vicario, Micky Van de Ven, Alejo Veliz, Manor Solomon, and Ashley Phillips also joined the N17 club.

Spurs Web Opinion:
All you can ask for from a summer transfer window is for the manager to pick targets and the club to get them. No matter what you think of the players, Ange Postecoglou is getting the people he wants and that is exciting for Spurs fans everywhere.
