Manchester City maintained their unbeaten start in the Premier League with a 5-1 home victory over Fulham, thanks to another hat-trick from Erling Haaland.
City seized a first-half lead through Julian Alvarez, and although Tim Ream levelled for the Cottagers, Nathan Ake headed the defending champions into a half-time lead.

Haaland scored his first goal just before the hour mark, converting from the penalty spot following Issa Diop’s push on Alvarez, before adding his third, his sixth of the season, in injury time.

Nottingham Forest beat Chelsea 1-0 thanks to former Manchester United attacker Anthony Elanga’s first Premier League goal in 19 months.

Chelsea suffered their second league defeat of the season when Elanga scored the only goal early in the second half.

Tottenham extended their unblemished league start with a 5-2 victory over Burnley at Turf Moor thanks to a hat-trick from Son Heung-min.

Lyle Foster put Burnley ahead early on, but Son and Cristian Romero put Tottenham ahead at the interval.

Tottenham’s lead was extended by James Maddison’s second goal of the season, and Son scored again in three minutes just after the hour mark. For the Clarets, Josh Brownhill’s stoppage-time effort came too late.

Brentford earned a 2-2 home draw against Bournemouth thanks to a stoppage-time equalizer from Bryan Mbeumo.

Mbeumo scored in the third minute of added time after Dominic Solanke cancelled out Mathias Jensen’s early free kick for the Bees and David Brooks had given the Cherries a second-half lead.

 

Sheffield United and Everton both earned their first points of the season after drawing 2-2 in the midday kick-off at Bramall Lane.

 

Cameron Archer scored on his league debut for the Blades to cancel out Abdoulaye Doucoure’s first-half opener, while Arnaut Danjuma equalized for Everton after falling behind to Jordan Pickford’s own goal.
