South Korean international Hwang, 31, has joined for the remainder of the season after scoring 17 goals in 51 games for his country.

Centre-back Danny Batth began his career at Wolves, where he appeared in 212 games as the club advanced from League One to the Premier League. Norwich City have signed Sunderland defender Danny Batth and Nottingham Forest attacker Ui-jo Hwang on loan.

“We are very happy to bring Danny to the club to strengthen our defensive options,” Canaries manager David Wagner said, according to the club’s website.

“He is a player with experience and quality, as well as a great character, who will be valuable as we look to build on the work we’ve already done this season.”

“Hwang has a strong pedigree and extensive experience at the highest levels of both club and international football.” We are impressed with his abilities and look forward to having him join our team.”

Norwich City are second in the Championship after an unblemished start that has included three victories and a tie.

Hwang comes from Seongnam in South Korea’s Gyeonggi province, where he began his professional career with Seongnam FC after rising through their junior divisions and spending time at Yonsei University.

“I am very excited,” remarked the loan signatory. I want to contribute as much as I can to the team. I can’t wait to get started.

“I spoke with the coach, and I heard nothing but positive things from him.” They press high a lot, and the forwards link the action; it’s all about hard work and teamwork.”

“We had to be patient,” said head coach David Wagner, “but we are very happy that we can now welcome Hwang to our squad.”
