Neymar has sent a message to Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti.

Carlo Ancelotti deserves more credit than he receives for his work at Real Madrid since his comeback in 2021. The Italian has led them to every title available over the last two seasons, and Los Blancos presently sit atop the La Liga standings, having won all four of their league games thus far this season.

What makes this run even more astonishing is that Real Madrid has no depth at all and is also missing many key players due to injuries. Ancelotti was not handed the best hand, but he has made the most of it.

Despite this, Ancelotti is expected to leave at the end of the season when his contract expires. And he’s been heavily connected with a spot on Brazil’s national squad.

As a club manager, Ancelotti has accomplished everything. However, he has never managed a national team and would be expected to perform admirably. In fact, Neymar appears to be open to the notion.

According to ge.globo, Neymar spoke on the possibility of Ancelotti becoming Brazil’s national team manager:

“I’m talking here, but I don’t know anything, I’ve never spoken to the president or anyone. If it is Ancelotti, he will be very well received, he is a renowned guy, who has won everything in his career.”

It remains to be seen what Ancelotti’s future holds. It’s easy to see why the prospect of managing Brazil would excite him.

He is 64 years old and has accomplished everything there is to achieve in club football, in leagues all around Europe. Brazil, on the other side, has been looking for a World Cup for a long time, having won the last one in 2002. They haven’t come close since then. Could Ancelotti be the guy to lead them back to the summit?
