'I hope he wins everything,' says Heung-min. Son's message to Harry Kane.

Tottenham lost their all-time leading goalscorer (GOAL) this summer when Harry Kane left for Bayern Munich.

Spurs finally accepted an offer for their star man worth an initial £86 million, which may climb to approximately £100 million with add-ons (Sky Sports) after a protracted transfer dispute that lasted virtually the whole summer.

‘I hope he wins everything,’ says Heung-min. Son’s message to Harry Kane.

The England captain decided to abandon the Lilywhites in search of silverware. Kane has also had a fantastic start in Germany, with three goals and an assist in his first four games for his new club (Transfermarkt).

Spurs appear to have done okay without their talismanic striker as well. Under Ange Postecoglou, the North London club has started the Premier League season unbeaten and is presently second in the table.

Son wishes Kane all the success in Germany

Heung-min Son is now the club’s primary man, having taken the captain’s armband. The attacker spoke during a news conference (via Football Daily) about his former comrade and the void he has left behind.

“He is one of the best players in the world, so having Harry Kane on your team guarantees you 20-30 goals,” he remarked.

“I believe the players have realized that in order to move the club forward, everyone must take on significant responsibility.” To achieve those 30 goals, everyone must pitch in.

“Based on the first four games, I believe the team is demonstrating on the field what qualities they possess.” It makes my captaincy so simple because we have such a wonderful group of players and people. We intend to keep going.”

“Harry obviously moved in a good way,” Son said of Kane. We have to respect that, both as a club and as individuals. We wish him the best of luck, and I hope he gets everything he deserves. I’m sure he wishes us the best as well.”

Spurs Web Opinion

It is a credit to guys like Sonny and the rest of the squad that we look to have dealt with the loss of a player like Harry Kane.

I don’t believe anyone, including myself, expected things to be so positive in the aftermath of his departure, but this new era has gotten off to a terrific start, and now the players must maintain that momentum.
