Manchester United’s women’s team signed American goalkeeper Phallon Tullis-Joyce on Thursday from OL Reign in the National Women’s Soccer League.
Manchester United’s women’s club signed American keeper Phallon Tullis-Joyce from the National Women’s Soccer League’s OL Reign on Thursday.
Tullis-Joyce, 26, formerly played in Europe for the French club Reims. The term of the contract or the value of her transfer were not specified by United.
“Today has been an exciting day for me. Manchester United is a renowned club that has accomplished a great deal in the women’s game. “I am so grateful for this opportunity,” she remarked.

United’s current first-choice goalie is England international Mary Earps. After winning the Golden Glove at this year’s Women’s World Cup, she has been linked with a move to Women’s Super League rival Arsenal, although she will remain at United until at least the January transfer window.
Tullis-Joyce will most likely give backup to Earps at first.
“Phallon has a wonderful array of talents, and we look forward to seeing her growth at Manchester United,” stated United coach Marc Skinner.
