Joao Palhinha and Harrison Reed have signed new contracts with Fulham.

The Cottagers were unable to find a replacement in time, thus the scheduled transfer fell through.

Following the transfer controversy, the Portugal international has signed a new contract with the Cottagers until the summer of 2028, with a one-year extension option.

“I’m in a good mood.” Palhinha explained to FFCtv. “A lot of history has happened for me in the last few weeks, and you’ve heard a lot about my future, but I’m just focused on my work at Fulham.”

“I have always given my all to this club, and I have the utmost respect for the club and the fans.” They have always been really supportive of me, and my family and I have felt this since the day I arrived.

“I’ll give everything I’ve got.” It was always like that, on the field, off the field, and in the locker room with my teammates.

“I have a lot of respect for everyone in Fulham, and I am ready to start over, to give it my all, and to achieve great things.”

Since joining Fulham from Sporting Lisbon for a reputed £20 million price, the 28-year-old has made 43 competitive appearances.

In addition to Palhinha, Fulham have agreed a new contract with Reed, who has signed a new contract until June 2027 with an option for the Cottagers to extend by another year.

“I’m buzzing to get it over the line,” Reed added. “We’ve only been working on it for a short time, but I’m really excited to put pen to paper.”

“I made it clear from the start that my future was here, and if the club agreed, then let’s get something done.” Fortunately, the club’s ambitions coincided with mine, so I’m quite happy and excited about the future.”

Reed joined Fulham on loan in the summer of 2019, before making the move permanent for the following season.

During his five-year tenure at the club, the midfielder has appeared in 150 games in all competitions, scoring three goals and providing 11 assists.
