In the main event of Misfits Boxing’s ‘The PRIME Card‘’ in Manchester, England, social media star KSI returned to the squared circle for a showdown with undefeated boxing standout Tommy Fury.

Tommy Fury, who won a split decision over Jake Paul eight months ago, will attempt to extend his undefeated record to ten against KSI, real name Olajide Olatunji. The fight will be KSI’s first professional boxing match since a split decision victory over Logan Paul in 2019.

Round 1

Things begin chaotically, with KSI bouncing around and looking to lunge in as Fury applies pressure and swings heavy, hoping to end the night early. They clinch, and both boxers engage in some rough boxing. KSI hits a powerful right hand on the break, knocking Fury back a little. KSI keeps lunging in for strikes. Both combatants clinch, and Fury appears to strike a brutal shot to the back of KSI’s head, bringing the bout to a halt. Fury receives no points as the round resumes with less than a minute remaining.

 

KSI hits the ground with a huge looping right hand. Fury closes the distance again, and they clinch up, landing a couple shots to the body before being separated. As the first round comes to a close, KSI lands a body shot.

Round 2

KSI fails to raise his hands and pays the price in the first few seconds, taking a powerful right hand from Fury. KSI moves in again and initiates a clinch. Fury strikes the back of the head once more. This time, the referee awards Fury a point. KSI’s right hand lands, and both men stand in the phone booth trading blows. Fury appears content to clinch and try to tire out KSI as they progress to the latter rounds, but KSI has yet to show any signs of slowing down.

 

The referee warns Fury for constantly clinching, and the fight resumes with KSI landing another strong right hand. They clinch, and the round comes to a close as the two are separated. The clock appears to have not been stopped throughout the point deduction, making the second round feel particularly short.

Round 3

KSI returns with another massive looping right hand that comes nowhere near landing. Fury clinches, and the two men are separated once more. Fury applies pressure, causing KSI to clinch. They conduct some rough boxing before being separated. KSI throws another looping right. Fury hits KSI with a strong left hand. They continue to filthy box close together, but are separated when Fury looks to land on the back of KSI’s head again, though the referee does not take a point and merely issues a warning this time.

KSI tries to exploit the situation by moving in rapidly, catching Fury off guard, but is unable to land cleanly. Fury ducks and clinches as the bell rings to close the round.

Round 4

Fury appears and instantly strikes. The action continues with the competitors throwing a few strikes before tightening up, necessitating the intervention of the referee every 2-3 seconds to separate them. For KSI, a right hand simply misses. Fury tries to counter with a right hand of his own, but misses. KSI’s right hook lands partially. They clinch once more. The referee intervenes, and the round concludes with little action other than clinching.

Round 5

Both combatants have landed 26 meaningful strikes in four rounds. KSI closes in and prepares to land some massive right hands on the inside. With KSI and Fury clinching up every few seconds, the fight is edging on unwatchable. The referee calls for action with 60 seconds left in the round, but is forced to step in and separate them again seconds later. The referee issued another warning, but nothing changed. With seconds remaining in the round, both combatants connect cleanly, but neither is able to capitalize before the round ends.

Round 6

With the match nearing its conclusion, both competitors attempt to up the tempo, but they continue to clinch. Fury throws, KSI ducks under, and clinches while he dances around. Fury lands a right hand as KSI raises his head. As they are once again separated by the referee, Fury lands a quick left hook. With one minute remaining, neither guy appears to be interested in going for broke. Fury approaches, KSI clinches, and the cycle continues. Fury attempts to bat aside a solid right from KSI. As the final seconds tick away, KSI dances away, bringing the competition to a close.
