Jadon Sancho was left out of Manchester United’s squad photo due to an altercation with Erik ten Hag.

The United winger clashed with Ten Hag, basically labelling him a liar after the Dutchman explained why he left him out of the squad to face Arsenal last month.

As a result, Sancho has been left out of every following squad, and he is not even permitted to train with the first team.

And the most recent absence from team events may be the most heinous: being left out of the official squad portrait.

It is the first time United has taken an in-person squad photo since the 2014/15 season, and it will take place at the club’s Carrington training base.

A video of all the players gathered for the shot was shared to United’s official TikTok account, but there was no sight of Sancho.

That may come as no surprise to some in the camp who haven’t seen the 23-year-old in weeks.

On matchdays, Sancho is never to be found at the stadium or with the squad, and he was even seen watching the Under-18s during one game.

He is not even permitted to eat with his teammates, and his meals are supposedly delivered to him in the academy complex in a black takeaway box emblazoned with a Manchester United badge and a plastic top.

According to talkSPORT, the former Borussia Dortmund star has been urged to apologize to Ten Hag or face further exclusion.

However, it appears unlikely that the winger will do so, putting his United future in jeopardy.

The most likely possibility is a January departure, with a return to Dortmund as an option.

His teammates at United have pleaded with him to reconsider and apologize to the boss.

However, it looks that it is futile since the spat between player and coach persists.

Sancho joined United in 2021 to much fanfare, having signed from Dortmund for a price of £73 million.

The England international rose to prominence in the Bundesliga, where he scored 50 goals and assisted 64 times in 137 matches.

His tenure at Old Trafford, however, has been less profitable, with only 12 goals in 82 appearances for the Red Devils.
