Camavinga, 21, was called up to Didier Deschamps’ current Les Bleus team ahead of two European Championship qualifiers against Gibraltar and Greece.

However, the 21-year-old will be unable to play in the matches on Saturday and next Tuesday. The former Stade Rennes player will miss the next two months of international and domestic activity after colliding with a teammate during a recent training session.

Camavinga now faces a fight against time to be fit enough to face Atletico Madrid in the Supacopa semi-final on January 10, 2024.
