NEWCASTLE 4-1 CHELSEA: MAGPIES BEAT 10-MAN BLUES TO GO SIXTH IN PREMIER LEAGUE
Newcastle United defeated Chelsea 4-1 in the Premier League thanks to goals from Alexander Isak, Jamaal Lascelles, Joelinton, and Anthony Gordon. The victory breaks Chelsea’s three-game unbeaten streak against Blackburn Rovers, Tottenham Hotspur, and Manchester City. The Magpies climb to sixth place. The Blues had Reece James sent off late in the second half, but they were already down 3-1.
Newcastle won 4-1 against a 10-man Chelsea team that lost control in the second half.
Chelsea was looking to improve on their bad start, while Newcastle needed a win to keep the pressure on the top four.
After receiving his third yellow card of the season during the game against Manchester City, Mauricio Pocchetino was forced to watch from the stands, and he saw the home side take the lead on 13 minutes when teenager Lewis Miley set up Alexander Isak.

But, 10 minutes later, Raheem Sterling scored his sixth goal of the season, matching his total from last season, with an amazing free kick.
Chelsea threatened to lose their minds in the second half with a spate of yellow cards, allowing Newcastle to retake the lead with a Jamal Lascelles header followed by a Joelinton goal inside 90 seconds of the restart.
When captain Reece James saw red for a second yellow after bringing Anthony Gordon down following an error, the situation worsened, and Gordon subsequently made it four.
Newcastle will face PSG on Tuesday, while Chelsea will face Brighton the following weekend.
Newcastle will now switch their attention to the Champions League, facing a huge game away to Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday, before returning to league action at home to Manchester United next Saturday.
